Prabhas'd director should handle it with care

Deliver one flop movie and you're out of race. This is the scenario of even hot and happening directors in Telugu Film Industry. Biggies like Sukumar, Boyapati and Puri Jagan are sitting idle for months after delivering a flop. If it comes to one film old directors, then their second flick is crucial.

As sentiment lovers believe that heroes who scored a hit with Rajamouli end up in a ray of flops, one wonders what happens to Prabhas after Baahubali. Moreover, Run Raja Run fame Sujith is gearing to direct Prabhas in his second flick and what happens to him if his flick goes for a toss? The likes of Sunil, Nani, NTR and even Prabhas has earlier had flops after scoring a blockbuster under Jakkanna's direction.

Probably the hype and expectations surrounding these stars post Rajamouli's movie are leading to such disasters. So Sujith should make sure that he will handle the hype quite well as Prabhas will be fresh from battle ground after working for 2 years on a 100+ crore worth project. 

First look: Gopichand in 'Jill'

Here comes the most awaited first look of action hero Gopichand's upcoming movie. Directed by debutant Radha Krishna Kumar, a protege of director Chandrasekhar Yeleti, the film is titled 'Jil' and stars Gopichand and Rashi Khanna in the leads. After the stupendous success of 'Mirchi' and 'Run Raja Run', production house UV Creations is making this flick. 

The poster looks suave as Gopichand is stylish in full black attire, black denims and goggles. Perhaps the peppy name that caught our attention in the poster is music director Gibraan. His score for Run Raja Run is terrific, and maybe we could expect another chartbuster album again. That's Jil folks!!! 

NBK's Lion teaser, is it rocking?

As expected teaser of Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest movie got unveiled yesterday. Titled 'Lion', this action packed entertainer is directed by newcomer Satya Deva and produced by Rudrapati Ramana Rao.

'Kondaru kodithey x-ray lo kanapadutundi... Kondaru kodithey scanning lo kanapadutundi.. Adhe nenu kodithey history lo vinapadutundi', says Balayya, in this commercial teaser gifted for fans on New Year eve. The teaser shows our hero in a powerful attire, as he plays CBI officer effortlessly, while simple shots of Trisha and Radhika Apte are attractive. 

For the first time ever, dusky siren Trisha is pairing up with Balayya while Radhika Apte and Archana Sastry two key roles. As this mass-action star is known for scoring top range hits with titles that reference a lion, even 'LION' is expected to rock similar way. 

Punch dialogs in 'Temper' teaser

'Iddaru kottukuntey yuddam... adhey okkadu meedadipothey.. danda yaatra.. idhi.. Daya gadi dandayaatra..', says Jr NTR, as he wishes fans a Happy New Year 2015. Much awaited teaser of 'Temper' is unveiled today, with director Puri Jagan packing a punch with his trademark conceiving of scenes, while Tarak is best with his dialogue delivery.       

'Temper', directed by dashing director Puri Jagan, features NTR and Kajal Agarwal in the leads. Prakash Raj is the antagonist of the movie, while Madhurima is playing an important role. Anup Rubens is scoring for the first time for NTR. The flick is expected to hit cinemas on February 5, 2015. 

Mahesh is a big admirer of ?

After tasting back to back disaster with 'Nenokkadine' and 'Aagadu', superstar Mahesh Babu is now busy with the shaping up of his new movie under the direction of Koratala Siva. From the time it has hit the floors, speculations have been rife on the title of this movie. Names such as 'Parakrama' 'Magadu' came into focus.

But the final title seems to be 'Sreemanthudu'. While that is almost confirmed, sources now say there is an interesting angle to the story. Well, according to the inside spies, it is heard that the story finds its roots in the life of Galla Jaidev, brother-in-law of Mahesh. He is known for his rise as an entrepreneur to a business tycoon to a Parliamentarian now.

On the other hand, Mahesh is known to be a big admirer of Galla Jaidev and he is the only one to be followed by Mahesh on Twitter. If this news of 'Sreemanthudu' is indeed true, it is going to be an interesting one for the audience because it suits the image of Mahesh and you might also know the reason behind Mahesh admiring Jaidev so much. 

Vikram: it was tough to convince them

Already Vikram's diverse and contrast looks in his upcoming I (Manoharudu) have grabbed several eye-balls and left many in shocking. While in one of the four roles, the Aparichutudu star is seen as beast, in other he will be seen as hunchbacked man, in another as a bodybuilder and finally as a modern guy with stylish hairstyle. 

Talking about the effort underwent behind , Vikram shared, "I get to play four different characters in this film. For one character I had to gain weight and for different character, I had to lose 20 to 25 kgs and body building took me 3 years to achieve that body transitions in the film. It took me 3 to 5 hours for the makeup of the beast's look."

"My family was really worried and it was tough to convince them. This film is going to take me to the new high as an actor. I grew up doing stage shows in school and I wanted to do something out of the box. I am blessed to do something like this," he added.

The romantic thriller directed by Shankar has AR Rahman's music. Vikram romances Amy Jackson in the film. The movie is slated for Pongal release. 

Gopala Gopala audio and release dates?

If highly reliable sources are to be believed, the audio launch of Pawan Kalyan's Gopala Gopala has been postponed once again. Contrary to reports that the audio would be unveiled on January 1, latest buzz indicates that the audio release would take place on January 3 (Saturday). Since the makers are stuck with the shooting of the song that would be wrapped up on Wednesday, producers Suresh Babu and Sharrath Marrar are planning to release audio on 3rd.

As reported earlier, Ramanaidu Cine Village in Nanakramguda would be the venue for the grand event. In fact, Venkatesh-Mahesh Babu starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu audio launch was also held at the same place. Since Gopala Gopala has Pawan and Venky in the leads, same tradition would be followed.

However, there is no clarity on the release date of the film. The movie would be either be released on Jan 9 and if it fails to come on Jan 9, it'd come on Jan 14. Buzz is that Suresh Babu is planning to advance the film's release to have an edge over Shankar's I. Suresh is of the opinion that since Pawan and Venky are so popular and no need of additional publicity, he has plans up his sleeve to advance the movie to Jan 9. But the big hurdle for Jan 9 release would be the Censor Board clearance. 

Rajamouli: we had debated, discussed on the song for months

Eccentric director Shankar has heaped praises on ace director SS Rajamouli during the audio launch of I. Speaking at the music release of Telugu version, Shankar said, "I've become Rajamouli's fan ever since I watched Magadheera. It was well made. I've become great fan of him after watching his Eega. I'm waiting for his next Baahubali."

Rajamouli too praised Shankar to the hilt. "When I was working as an assistant director in Chennai, Genteman was just released and the Mukala...Mukabula song was a rage. Like many others, I didn't understand how the song was picturised as Prabhudeva's face, wrists and legs were not seen in the song. We were a team of assistant directors and we had debated, discussed on the song for months."

"Even now when I'm successful director, it's dejav feeling. Soon after the release of trailer and teaser of I, I tried to understand frame by frame on how Shankar shot the film. He is always ahead. I'm eagerly waiting to watch I," added Rajamouli. 

Meanwhile, Shankar has promised to direct a full-fledged Telugu film. "You've been supporting all my films. I'm wanting to make a straight Telugu movie for you. I had tried twice earlier but couldn't make it for few reason. But for sure, I'll direct a movie in Telugu soon."

10 minutes to impress Puri Jagannadh

Ace writer-director-producer Puri Jagannadh has given a call for talent hunt for new directors. Puri is planning to introduce new directors but the condition is that they have to pass his test. Puri's challenge is that he narrates 10 stories in 10 days to the contestants who have to make a short film on it within 10 minutes including penning dialogues and developing story and roping in cast. The one who impresses Puri will be given chance to make a film written by Puri himself. Leading Telugu daily and its channel will jointly promote the contest, conduct the test and help Puri in scrutiny. 

Having completed 15 years in Telugu Film Industry, Puri Jagannadh is not just successful filmmaker but he is one of the fastest filmmaker. In fact, directors like SS Rajamouli publicly expressed their wish to learn from Puri and wants to work under him as an assistant director. Especially Puri's trademark dialogues are very famous and his raw characterization of hero is much talked about. Needless to say that it's tough to impress Puri.

Interesting fact about ANR and CNR

You may have heard of readymade costumes for heroes and heroines but have you heard of readymade costumes for real life icons for their daily wear? Well, here is an interesting byte. It is heard that there are few selected Khadi shops in the Khairtabad area which have a specialisation.

They have readymade costumes of two legendary people. They are Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Dr C Narayana Reddy. Those who wish to purchase these costumes, the shops will take around Rs 3,800. Point is, the costumes are prepared taking the exact measurements of both these men.

Dr C Narayana Reddy has a standard clothing style wherein he sports a silk Kurtha with a branded Pancha along with a Kanduva. Similarly when ANR was alive, he used to wear a Khaddar Kurtha along with a Pancha. Even ANR's outfit costs Rs 3800. So, whenever someone wanted to gift something to ANR or C Na Re, since the two men will not take ordinary clothes, the Khairtabad Khadi shops used to be the best solution. Interestingly, this facility is only for ANR and C Na Re. There are many who want to gift them and they used to take this path.

Ramadasu girl for NBK's Lion

'NBK Lion' is getting bigger and better with each passing day as newcomer Satydeva is bringing much spicy starlets on board. This time they have pinned a Telugu beauty to their action drama, thereby adding a third one to the already existing sensous beauties Trisha and Radhika Apte.

As Balayya plays a CBI officer in the movie, Trisha plays his female lead while Radhika Apte is his wife in the flash back episodes. And then, another heroine is needed to fill certain space and they have now roped in Telugu beauty Archana Sastry to don the role. 'We're on the lookout for a hot girl to play a special character and Archana seemed fitting the bill to the core. Already her part of shoot got wrapped', a source said.

Earlier Archana sizzled in such guest roles in big ticket entertainers like Nag's Ramadasu, Jr NTR's Yamadonga, Mahesh's Khaleja and with Balayya in Pandurangadu and also in block buster "Nuvvu vastanante Nenuvadhantana" 

Mahesh and Allu Arjun are creating tension in their fan's heart

Allu Arjun and Prince Mahesh are now the risk takers in Tollywood film industry. As per the talk, Allu Arjun is flying to South Africa as a part of his upcoming film shooting. Prince Mahesh and Shruti Hassan too is stated to be in the plans of going to South Africa for their upcoming film shooting.

In this scenario, analysts are considering these two top heroes as risk takers. It is a fact that the dangerous virus Ebola is spreading across African continent and the shooting schedules of these heroes were now creating tension in the minds of their fans.

We can say that Allu Arjun and Mahesh are taking the risk by entering Africa. While other heroes are choosing locations in Europe, Asia and America, Allu Arjun and Mahesh were stated to be determined to shoot in Africa as few locations looked good for their flick. Akhils first shot in Old city of Hyderabad

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala’s son Akhil’s debut film is one of the most awaited films in the Telugu Film Industry. The film was launched few days ago and according to the latest update, regular shooting will begin from first week of January with an action sequence in the Old City of Hyderabad.

Currently, Akhil is busy practicing fights and he is eagerly waiting for his first day of shoot. The makers of the film are looking quite keenly for the actress. The movie will be a power packed action entertainer with a story that has been written by Damarukam fame Veligonda Srinivas and it will be directed by V. V. Vinayak.

The movie is being produced by actor Nithiin and his father Sudhakar Reddy on Sresht Movies banner.

NTR's ‘Temper’ is racing ahead in Begumpet

Shooting of Young Tiger NTR’s ‘Temper’ is racing ahead in Begumpet. Scenes are being filmed on NTR and other actors in a police station set and court room set by director Puri Jagan and NTR is taking part very keenly in the shoot.

The movie is going to release on Feb 5th next year as it could not complete its shoot in time for Sankranthi. Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine and NTR is going to be seen in a police officer in this film. Anoop Rubens is composing music. Bandla Ganesh is producing this movie on Parameshwara Arts Banner.

RGV targets PK this time

Ram Gopal Varma always creates an opportunity to generate unnecessary controversies and he enjoys all the attention that he gets through these useless things. In the past, RGV targeted popular film stars and political figures and took potshots at them for no reason. With all his films failing miserably at the box office, RGV seems to be looking to rattle the emotions of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan fans with his reckless comments.

Recently, RGV tweeted his excitement and appreciation for the grand visuals and the magnitude of Shankar’s ‘I’. RGV also wrote, "Oh my God! I heard Shanker is coming on Sankrantri ...I wonder what will happen to PK." These comments naturally enraged several Pawan Kalyan fans who blasted the director left, right and center.

Noting the fans’ fury, RGV explained that he only mentioned about Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ and not Pawan Kalyan. Wonder if RGV will ever concentrate on his scripts and not on coming up with useless controversies.

Vishaka for world cup

The 2015 cricket world cup is around the corner and every Indian is gearing up to watch this sporting extravaganza. Many programs are being conducted and everyone is doing their bit to support team India.

Music composer G V Prakash has gone one step ahead and has composed a special song for the world cup. Shooting of this special song is completed, and Vishaka Singh of Rowdy Fellow fame has featured in this number which will be high on pride and nationalism.

Yet another multi starer?

Tollywood has found a new liking for multi-starrer films. After a very long lull, makers are again showing interest in multi-starrers, which have been quite prevalent in the past. Adding to the long list of films either on sets or in discussion stages, another multi starrer with Manchu Vishnu and Allari Naresh is being planned. The movie will be a wholesome family entertainer with loads of comedy.

The movie will be directed by Srinivas Reddy and is likely to be produced by B.V.S.N.Prasad. Jagapathi Babu could also be playing a crucial role in the film. If everything goes as per plan, the movie will go on the floors in January.

Case against Mukunda?

Another movie may suffers because of community politics, a case has been filed against the producers of Mukunda, Nallamalapu Bujji and Tagore Madhu, and director Srikanth Addala for allegedly hurting the sentiments of a particular community. A case has been lodged in Siricilla police station and the complainants have demanded that certain portions of the movie that showed their community in bad light be removed with immediate effect.

Neither the producers nor the director have responded on the issue yet. Mukunda is the debut film of Varun Tej and has Pooja Hegde playing his love interest. The movie has been doing well in most of the areas owing to good word of mouth.

Double attack on Gopala Gopala

Though we have Bandla Ganesh's case against releasing of 'I' on Sankranthi eve is still pending with result, a threat is imminent for the major Telugu movie of the season Gopala Gopala. As the Pawan-Venky starrer has set its eyes on January 14/15, there is likely to be a joint attack on this multi-starrer movie.

Anyway 'Temper' has mysteriously dropped from the race, and except Gopala Gopala there is no big Telugu movie in the foray to cash on Sankranthi holidays. Cut to Tamil front, along wtih Shankar's 'I-Manoharudu', Gautham Menon-Ajith's 'Enthavadu gani' (Yennai Arindaal in Tamil) is also getting ready for Pongal release. Both these flicks will surely hit Telugu cinemas simultaneously and that's a cause of worry for Gopala Gopala for sure. If Telugu film biggies don't allow these two to release for 14/15th, then they will come either a week before or later.

Even though if these two are placed within a week gap from Pawan-Venky's flick, their presence will affect the collections of this 'Oh My God' remake provided with their commercial ingredients and reach into masses.

Permanent base for Baahubali in RFC

Jakanna Rajamouli’s Baahubali is back in Ramoji Film City. The movie has set up a permanent base in RFC and all shooting related activities are going on there.

A new schedule has started and Prabhas is participating in the shooting along with milk white beauty Tamanna. Rana is playing the villain’s role in the movie.

Keeravani is the music director for the movie which also has Anushka in another heroine’s role. Baahubali is going to release on April 17th 2015.

Nithin: Pawan Garu knows what I'm

After wide-spread reports that Nithin is banking on Pawan Kalyan's charisma, the Dil star has come forward and set the record straight. "Right from childhood, I'm a great fan of Pawan Kalyan. In fact, Tholi Prema is what inspired me to become a hero. Since my debut into films, almost all my films have references to Pawan Kalyan be it his photo or his films somewhere in between the films. And I'm continuing the same trend even after Ishq as a gratitude to my star. But people and media have started recognising this especially after Ishq as Pawan attended the audio launch of the film," said Nithin.

Nithiin added, "I got success with Ishq only after 10 flops. If I stop referring to Pawan Kalyan in my movies, the same people and media blame me for forgetting Pawan after coming back to success streak. If I continue the trend by giving references to him in my films, people say I'm using him. So, I decided to go by my heart i.e., worshipping Pawan."

"Pawan Garu knows what I'm and how much I love him. So he doesn't bother about what other people or media says. We share good bond and our feelings are in our hearts," clarified Nithiin. As he said, he continue to give references of Pawan in his latest offing Chinnadana Neekosam as well.

Sharwanand on cloud nine

Riding high on the success of his previous release ‘Run Raja Run’, Sharwanand is expressing confidence about his latest flick ‘Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju’.The trailer and audio which were launched recently have received a positive feedback from the audience on social media.Reports suggest that Sarwanand is quite happy with the output and is extremely confident about this film. Nithya Menon plays a Muslim girl in this film, where as Sharwanand plays an athlete.

The quirky dialogues and interesting backdrop of the film seem to have struck a chord. Kranthi Madhav is directing this film after his critically acclaimed film ‘Onamaalu’. KS Rama Rao is the producer.

Mumbai Model for Akhil?

According to highly reliable sources, Mumbai model Amyra Dastura who has made her film debut in 2013 in hindi movie is going to be the lead girl for Akkineni Akhil's debut film. Though Akhil thought of roping in Alia Bhatt, she couldn't provide  the necessary dates. And now Vinayak and team have zeroed on Amyra, who happens to be a well known face in modelling circuits.

Amyra is a well known face though Vodafone and Micromax ads. She debuted with 2013 Hindi flick Isaac and currently waiting for the release of her first tamil flick, KV Ananda's Anegan featuring Danush in the lead. Though Akhil's team want a fresh face, they want someone who has little experience and could carry the role well. Let us wait for official confirmation. 

At last Hyderabad girl as got something to prove

Several girls have debuted into tinsel town who actually hail from Hyderabad city. Not many made big name, but few carved a place despite not scoring big hits and grabbing luscious offers. Poonam Kaur is one among them. 

As she failed to score with Telugu industry as a heroine, of late Poonam turned towards sister characters and friend roles too. But that too didn't help this curvaceous siren as she lost sheen in no time. Just before she is fading from spotlight, Tamil industry has however given her chances. Utilizing the opportunity, she is now going all corners to deliver her best for Sambar land.

The other day Poonam was in Jordan for the filming of a song for Tamil flick 'En Vazhi Thani Vazhi' under Brinda master's choreography. She has literally done belly dancing for the song, after learning it for hours from foreign professionals. All the filming happened in a desert where temperatures rose above 50 C. That's real hard work Poonam!! 

Varun's next movie with Puri or Krish?

The new entrant from the mega family, Varun Tej, is all set to rock Tollywood with his debut film Mukunda. This action entertainer is set for a big release next week. But now, a different news has caught everyone’s attention and it is related to his future projects.

In a interview with a leading daily, Varun Tej revealed that he will be working with director Puri Jagan and Krish for his upcoming films. Though he did not reveal much details, these projects will most probably go on floors in 2015.

Puri Jagan is currently busy giving finishing touches to his project with NTR, whereas Krish is busy in the post production works of his Bollywood film Gabbar.

Milky beauty Tamannah celebrated her birthday yesterday and she’s been treated to a very pleasant birthday gift. If the reports coming in are to be believed, she has been finalized for a film in the direction of Krishna Vamsi.

We have already reported about a movie that Krishna Vamsi has been planning to make with new comers. If one could connect the dots, it could be assumed that Tamannah has been finalized for the same project. Dil Raju and Prakash Raj are most likely to produce this flick jointly.

Big B to receive ANR National award

The Akkineni family has announced the prestigious ANR National Award for the year 2014. And it none other than, Bollywood Megastar, Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen for this esteemed award which will be presented to him in Hyderabad.

The ANR National Award is a prestigious award instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation in the honor of the south legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao who passed away early this year. According to sources, Amitabh has agreed to accept this award.

Previously, Sridevi, Syam Benegal, Hema Malini, Dr. K. Balachander, Lata Mangeskar, Anjali Devi, Shabana Azmi and Dev Anand are the other eminent personalities who were awarded with this prestigious award.

One week rest for Mahesh and team

Super star Mahesh babu and director Koratala Siva's Movie has been making steady progress. After 10 days of continues shoot at Ramoji Film City, which included the shoot of Mahesh’s introduction song, the unit will be taking a short break of one week. The 3rd schedule will commence from the 28th of this month.

This yet to be untitled film has Shruthi Haasan playing the leading lady opposite Mahesh Babu. Other prominent actors like Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad and Sampath Raj also star in crucial roles. Devi Sri Prasad will be scoring the music.

New sound technology for Baahubali

Reports reveal the entire movie is being recorded in Dolby Atmos format. In case you are not aware, Dolby Atmos happens to be the latest surround sound technology which has been developed by the Dolby Laboratories. It has the ability to generate a three- dimensional volume specifying the exact source of sound.

The makers of 'Baahubali' are not compromising on anything and now with the Dolby Atmos effect, the film is going to reach a new scale in terms of sound impact. The soundtrack is being designed by P.M. Satheesh  and it is heard that the film's director S S Rajamouli is present at all times to ensure the whole thing happens rightly.

Nag's MEK tops again with TVRs

Recreating its first season’s magic, the second season has already started topping the Television Ratings Point (TVR) during the show’s telecast hours between 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM from Monday to Friday.

Surpassing other leading TV channels by a huge margin, ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswardu’ achieved this feat with a phenomenal average of 6.83 TVRs. Ably supported by Nag’s charming hosting skills and the celebrity Friday shows are the primary reasons for the stupendous success of ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswardu’.
