After Rajnikanth, it's Sam to gift them

Tollywood's numero uno actress Samantha enjoys immense adulation from her fans for her gorgeous looks, chirpy acting and even her soft corner towards social issues. The actress, through her Pratyusha Foundations has won a lot of goodwill among her fans and even in the film industry. Now, Samantha's touching gesture has thrilled the entire film unit of VIP 2.

Samantha has been working on Dhanush and Amy Jackson starrer VIP 2 and she has been quite appreciative of the film's amazing script. Perhaps Samantha has been buoyed by the excitement of working in a beautiful team that she presented the unit members of VIP 2 with Rs. 5000 each recently.

Touched by Samantha's unexpected gesture, the unit members could not thank her enough. This is not the first time when a film star showered the shooting unit with gifts. In the past, Superstar Rajinikanth gifted the unit members of Narasimha with gold chains, following the grand success of the film. However, it is definitely heartening to see a female actress' rare gesture towards the crew.

Is twitter taking her on a lighter vein?

Mahesh Babu, Shruti Haasan, Trisha and the one only Samantha. Does this ring anything in your brain? All these people are highly followed celebs on micro-blogging site twitter, with Samantha too recently joining the mighty million followers club. But still our young heroine lacks any identification.

Twitter generally sends a 'verification' team to these celebrities in order to find out if the real celeb is operating the account or some impersonator is tricking the followers. After verifying, they will give an identification mark, precisely a blue coloured tick mark as a suffix to the name of the account holder on twitter. Mahesh, Shruti and Trisha has this tick long back, but Samantha's account that got more than 10 lakh followers is not verified even now.

Some say that Samantha is yet to approach twitter to get her account verified, while others feel that as Samantha has earlier deleted an account and re-started a new one, twitter is taking her on a lighter vein. Though the accounts of biggies like Pawan and Rajni got verified and an identification mark was put even before anyone followed them, it is sad that Sam is yet to get the 'tick'. 

Ex love birds to act together

Despite after the much talked "breakup", actors Siddharth and Samantha are going to act together in a film which was signed by them before they parted their ways. Samantha and Siddharth will be sharing screen space in the Telugu-Tamil remake of Bangalore days. While Samantha reprises the role of Nazriya, Siddharth will step into the shoes of Fahadh Faasil in the remake. Both Sid and Sam will join the film's shooting from March 1 in Hyderabad.

It is learnt that the duo breakup sometime ago but the news came out only now. Both Samantha and Siddharth reportedly not in talking terms for over a month and the things got worsen recently ahead of New Year. 

Siddharth and Samantha were in a relation for two-and-half-years before calling it quits. The duo fall for each other during the shooting of Jabardasth. Now the fans of Samantha and Siddharth are expecting them to patch up things while shooting of Bangalore Days remake. Let's wait and see folks.

Samantha requested director Trivikram to set her career

Agreeing that her latest flicks are flops, super heroine Samantha requested director Trivikram to set her career in track in Tollywood. "All my recent films have flopped sir. You please give me a hit with our current film and set my career on track. Please give hit sir", said Samantha, during her interaction with Trivikram at "Memu Saitham" special interview.

"I'm setting my own career now. How come I would help you Samantha?" asked Trivikram, albeit in a simple tone. Well, Trivikram is getting ready to match the expectations around him as his last film "Attarintiki Daredi" is a thumping industry hit. At the same time, Samantha wants to bounce back strongly as her recent flicks like Rabhasa and Anjaan flopped big time. Both these stars are working in upcoming Allu Arjun's movie, where the stylish star romances three heroines including  Samantha, Adah Sharma and Nitya Menon.
