Though winter
is not over yet, the temperatures are picking up strongly. Well, we are not
talking about the climate but the atmosphere in Tollywood and the cine buffs.
The reason for that is the arrival of the much talked about movie 'Gopala
Gopala'. But a rather strange pattern is being observed by the TV viewers and
they are trying to figure out what it is.
Well, it is known that 'Gopala Gopala' is the remake of the Bollywood movie 'Oh My God' starring charming star Akshay Kumar and the super talented Paresh Rawal. Their roles are being reprised by power star Pawan Kalyan and victory Venkatesh respectively. The pattern being talked about is the airing of this movie across the local channels.
All of you are aware that every city and town has got its own local cable channel and it is being noticed that 'Oh My God' is being shown very frequently. This has got many thinking as to what is the motive behind these regular shows. Is it because public can get used to the 'Gopala Gopala' frenzy? It is to derive comparison between the original and the remake? Is it to familiarize it so much that you lose interest?
While the questions may be many, the local channels in towns and cities are busy buzzing with the original version. For now, 'Gopala Gopala' is scheduled to hit the screens on January 9th so let us see if the agenda of local channels has served the purpose or not.
