Kamal Haasan
is undoubtedly the most talented actor in India whose accolades haven't
received enough attention. Rajnikanth is however a Superstar popular for his
mannerisms and style rather acting prowess. But acclaimed music composer
maestro Ilayaraja has something else to say about these two.
"Kamal is a mesmerising actor. The moment you switch on the camera, he transforms into the character completely. He is simply outstanding. Also Kamal is a good singer", said Ilayaraja. Talking about Rajnikanth, he reveals, "Rajni is more of a director material. He writes excellent screenplay. I asked him many times to write for his own movies, but Rajni smiled at it, saying that it's a different work".
At the occasion of unveiling audio of Hindi movie "Shamitabh" for which Ilayaraja scored tunes, he made these comments. Kamal, Rajni and Sridevi have graced the event as guests to wish luck for Amitabh Bachan, Danush, Akshara Haasan and director R Balki.
