Ravi Teja' Power is in safe zone

After miserable flops, distributors were hoping that Ravi Teja's crowd-pulling capacity would erase all their worries but the cop story Power just managed to rake in Rs 4.5 Crore on first day whereas his earlier hit "Balupu" collected more than Rs 5.5 crores on day One, since many multiplexes didn't hang houseful boards but was better in single screen theatres. "It was sold for a big price, so there are chances for picking up," shares a distributor. With supportive reviews and Brahmi's comedy working, it could be on a safe zone, adds source.

Geetanajli could have done better after garnering 10 crores, but it has been ejected out of theatres for "Rabhasa" and now "Power, but producer Kona Venkat, is a happy man.

The surprise hit of the season, is none other horror comedy Boochamma.. and it has touched Rs 2.4 crore in first week and around 80 lakh in Nizam and rocking in Vizag, Viyawada and Nellore too. In recent times, it is the only small film, for which theatres got increased from 2nd and 3rd day.

Sumanth Ashwin proves to a bankable star after moderate success of Lover, which made 2.75 crore and managed to break-even, but comedian Sapthagiri deserves some credit in it.
