Rajinikanth's Lingaa has secured a whopping Rs 200 Crore insurance

These days insurance as become common in every area where there is a scope of profit/loss.  we are aware that Salman Khan's Kick had Rs 300 Crore insurance cover.

Now, what is considered is highest-ever insurance cover in South Film Industry, the makers of Rajinikanth's Lingaa has secured a whopping Rs 200 Crore insurance cover for the film.

The mega-insurance cover includes production insurance and loss of revenue in overseas and India. The insurance also covers delays in shooting, losses due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, fire accidents on the sets, damage to production material, property and injury to actors during shooting. This is not all. The policy also covers sudden illness among the main cast of the film due to food poisoning or if they're under bad weather.

Lingaa is said to be the second highest-ever insurance cover in India while the first is Salman's Kick. Although initially it was seen as an additional burden for film producers, slowly the notion has been changed and we hear that the insurance for movies is slowly becoming a norm.
